Malte Wangerin, who grew up in the town of Gifhorn, (Germany) completed his diploma in “Medical and Sports Medical Engineering” at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen in the Rhineland (FH Koblenz, Germany). At the beginning of 2006 he moved to Freiburg to complete his diploma thesis on “Inverse Dynamics in cycling performance”. Being the only soccer player amongst cyclists he was laughed at in the beginning but by now he has well and truly caught the cycling bug and his colleagues have to admit that he has developed respectable cycling skills whilst living in the Freiburg region.

Malte has been a full-time employee at the Radlabor since January 2007. His strong technical background makes his area of expertise biomechanics and technology. However the organization of the company is also strongly influenced by him.

His humorous Rhinelandian character puts the whole team in good spirits, not only during casual team events, but also in the laboratory.
