Tim Böhme grew up in Singen at Lake Konstanz, (Germany). He has been an active cyclist since 1997 and a member of the German National Mountainbike Team since 1999. On top of his job as professional cyclist he has completed a diploma in Sports Marketing and Management by distance education at IST Düsseldorf, Germany.

In order to get the full benefits and support from the Olympic Base in Freiburg, he moved from Singen to Freiburg in 2005. The Radlabor has supported Tim as an athlete since his initial membership in the National Team. In January 2006 he changed sides and was incorporated in the Radlabor Team. His many years of practical experience as a professional cyclist complements his role at the Radlabor in the fields of marketing and administration.

His mother-like role in the team is exemplified in his coffee brewing for his colleagues, because for Tim a coffee bean is not just a coffee bean…!
